Eric McAlister is one of the more surprising prospects in our model, emerging as our WR-12 despite little pre-draft buzz. He's on the older side for a prospect, but he was a steady producer throughout his college career at Boise State and TCU. In his final collegiate season he showed up in big spots and made an impact in several high-profile games for the Horned Frogs.

Physically, McAlister is a large, wiry receiver and one of the elite YAC threats in this class. His yards after catch per reception and yards per route run are the pillars of his analytical profile, and both translate clearly to film. The concerns are real, though: his drop rate is a problem, and he struggles in contested catch situations despite his 6'3" frame. He also suffered a Jones fracture at his pro day, his second lower-body injury during the pre-draft process, which is a significant concern heading into the draft. However, in a receiver class that falls off quickly past the top tier, I'd be willing to spend a mid-third-round pick on McAlister. The talent to play in the NFL is there, and he was a fun player to watch on film.
