Jaydn Ott was one of the bigger disappointments at the running back position in 2025. After piling up over 3,000 yards and 30 touchdowns across three seasons at Cal, Ott transferred to Oklahoma looking to build on that production alongside quarterback John Mateer. Instead, injuries derailed his season before it ever got going, and he finished with just 68 yards on the year. The talent that made him so productive in Berkeley is still there somewhere, but whether he can rediscover that form heading into the NFL is a significant question mark.

Ott's standout freshman season at Cal gives him a strong baseline in our model, a number that remains largely intact given how little he played in 2025. Beyond that, though, his profile is fairly pedestrian. Nothing else jumps off the page, and the overall picture points to a player who projects best as a third-down back at the next level.
