KC Concepcion is one of the most improved receivers in this class from 2024 to 2025. Transferring this past offseason to Texas A&M paid off in a big way, and he's now positioned to hear his name called early on NFL draft day. He should go just as early in your dynasty drafts. If you can look past the catching inconsistencies, what you're left with is a well-built, dynamic receiver who looks ready to contribute to an NFL offense from day one.
Outside of his hands, KC has one of the better underlying profiles in this year's class. Similar to Tyson, he doesn't have a weakness outside of one giant red flag. Our drop grade doesn't matter too much when it comes to predicting fantasy success, but KC was in the bottom 28th percentile which can be kind of scary to spend a first round pick on. Ideally you want your receivers to catch the ball. Regardless of whether he can catch or not, KC isn't making it out of the first round of your dynasty drafts.
Film Notes
- Absolutely dynamic with the ball in his hands after the catch, by far his best trait
- His release package is excellent and much improved from 2024, combined with his quickness and acceleration he can be a problem right from the snap
- Showed the ability and willingness to make tight, contested catches in traffic
- Good understanding of zone concepts and found the right areas to position himself to attack zones, also did a great job of turning upfield away from defenders
- Deep speed is great, can be a weapon deep
- Route running is still an area that can be improved upon, but ran nice digs and curls, sometimes would get sloppy when running across the field or wasn't at the right depth
- Blocking is a weak spot in his profile, sometimes showed good effort but it's not consistent nor was it regularly effective
