Lemon was the focal point of Lincoln Riley's high powered offense this past college season. Despite being one of the smaller receivers in this class, Lemon makes up for it with his quickness in and out of breaks and his toughness over the middle of the field. Lemon's ability to bring down contested catch opportunities, especially in the redzone, surprised me while watching his games. Unfortunately Lemon is going to be a bit limited as to where he can line up in the NFL, he struggled against bigger, more physical corners and doesn't have the size to match up with them. However, I don't believe that will deter any teams from drafting Lemon in the first round.
While the upside Lemon provides might not be as high as your typical early first rounder in dynasty drafts, he shouldn't make it past 1.06 in the vast majority of leagues.
Film Notes
- Tough as nails over the middle, extremely strong hands, will extend for catches even if he knows he will take a hit after
- When he really sinks his hips he can cut on a dime and shift direction quicker than lots of prospects and create large amount of separation, this isn't consistent and he can round out his routes at times
- Can create yards for himself after the catch, hard to bring down
- Long speed is average, but won't hold it against him
- Plays a lot bigger than his size, able to box defenders out in the redzone quite easily
- Will struggle against longer, physical cover corners in the NFL (Leonard Moore clamped him)
